PRESIDENT HEARS PLEA TO STOP WAR

A man at a Sunday church service attended by President Bush demanded the United States "stop this massacre, stop this bombing" of Iraq.

The man, who identified himself as Massachusetts lawyer John Schuchardt, was silenced only after police officers stood by him. After a second outburst a half-hour later, he was dragged from the church.

The incident began when Pastor Patricia Adams asked congregants if they had any special concerns to express.

"We need to think of the 18 million people of Iraq, half of them are children under the age of 15 years old," Schuchardt said.
