Health experts said the spread of the disease is inevitable because up to 75 percent of those infected with the cholera bacteria will show no signs of sickness while they can still pass the bacteria to others.
"It certainly will spread because most of the people don't know that they are sick," said Dr. Mario Libel, epidemiologist for the Panamerican Health Organization in Washington.
