BUSH'S VISION HASN'T CHANGED

I WAS incredulous when I read Carolyn Clark's comment about the "blood on George Bush's hands" (letter, Jan. 28). Saddam Hussein could not have said that any better. If Bush has blood on his hands, then Saddam and his puppets here in the United States and all over the world are soaked in it.

Yes, Bush has a vision of a kinder and gentler America. That has not changed. But on Aug. 2, 1990, Hussein started a war - against not only Kuwait but also the civilized world. Thank God Bush had the backbone to stand up to him. To appease tyranny and look the other way is what the Adolf Hitlers and Saddam Husseins have always counted on.

Isn't it bizarre how one never hears a peep out of these puppets about Saddam's unspeakable atrocities? However, when someone tries to right the wrong, they become indignant!
