FERRUM - Grover Eldridge Shively, age 80 of Rt. 3, died Monday, February 18, 1991 at his home. He was preceded in death by two children, Wesley Shively and Venda Lee Shively and a brother, Henry Waverly Shively. Surviving are his wife, Delma Gay Shively; one daughter, Rebecca Shively, Ferrum; three sons and daughters-in-law, Eldridge and Loretta Shively, Orlando, Fla.; Samuel Warren and Ellen Shively, Wharton, N.J.; Paul and Kim Shively, Floyd; two sisters, Vera Ingram; Naomi Shively, both of Ferrum; one brother, Kermit Shively, Ferrum; special friends, Lloyd and Shirley Bridges, Ferrum; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in Lynch Chapel with the Rev. John Ingram and the Rev. Robert Painter officiating. Interment will follow in the Shively family cemetery at Endicott. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home, Rocky Mount, after 2:00 p.m. Tuesday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials may be made to the Ferrum Rescue Squad.
