BUENA VISTA - Raymond Earl Coleman, Sr., 60, died February 17, 1991 at his home. He was born August 24, 1930 in Amherst County the son of the late Lindsey D. and Lucy Curry Coleman. He is survived by his wife, Judy Spence Coleman; one daughter, Wanda C. Decker, Buena Vista; two sons, Raymond E. Coleman, Jr., Amherst County; Timothy W. Coleman, Buena Vista; five grandchildren, Stacey, Whitney, Jobie, Michael, and Kelly; four sisters, Ruby Humphries, Rosa Painter and Eunice Henson, all of Buena Vista; Doris Hartless, Amherst County; two brothers, Howard Coleman, Amherst County; Claude Coleman, Buena Vista; two half brothers, Hiter Coleman, Detroit, Mich.; Maynard Coleman, Tenn. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the First Brethren Church by the Rev. Lester Kennedy, the Rev. Steve Shipley and the Rev. Jess Truax. Burial will follow in the Rockbridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Lomax Funeral Home.
