TOO BAD, DONALD; WORLD BOOK SAYS NO

The World Book Encyclopedia has some bad news for Donald Trump: He didn't make the final cut in its newest edition.

A. Richard Harmet, executive editor of the World Book, said Monday that Trump's status as a millionaire developer and man-about-town "makes interesting newspaper copy, but so far he lacks lasting significance for a World Book article."

Included in the 1991 edition's 100 new articles are the late Lucille Ball, tennis star Boris Becker, "Godfather III" director Francis Ford Coppola, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana and former Panamanian leader Manuel Noriega.

World Book said it also revised Saddam Hussein's biography and added articles on air pollution, recycling, the Amazon rain forest, chronic fatigue syndrome and other subjects. - Associated Press
