CAVE SPRING GIRLS DROP PATRIOTS 69-33

Cave Spring took control in the second quarter and was never threatened in a 69-33 victory over visiting Patrick Henry in Roanoke Valley District girls' basketball Monday.

Ali Colgrove scored 10 of her game-high 21 points and Lisa Hodges added eight of her 15 points in the pivotal second quarter. Nikki Clowers came off the bench to add 11 for the Knights (18-2 overall, 10-1 in the district).

Kim Saunders scored 18 for the Patriots (1-11, 7-13).
