Anne Kathryn Goodwin Phlegar, age 77, of 255 Butt Hollow Road, Salem, passed on to a greater life early Tuesday morning, February 19, 1991 in Richfield Nursing Center. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, the Rev. Earl M. Phlegar. Surviving are her three daughters and sons-in-law, Faye and C. T. (Tallie) Lawrence, Salem; Joyce C. Terry, Roanoke; Pat and Clifford C. Shook, Sr., Salem; a sister, Kathleen G. Nelson, Roanoke; sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Lomax Dozier, Pompano Beach, Fla.; five grandchildren, Jeffrey W. Lawrence, Salem; Pam C. Rorer, Lexington, Ky.; Gregory A. Carroll, Keister, Minn.; Julie C. Bryan and Stephanie Carroll, Roanoke; one stepgrandson, Clifford C. Shook, Jr., Richmond; five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 22, 1991 at the Locust Grove United Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. Tom Maddrey officiating. Interment will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park. Due to her love of music, memorials may be made to the Organ Fund of Locust Grove United Methodist Church.
