FERRUM - Elsie Myrtle Thompson, age 73, of Rt. 3, died February 19, 1991 at her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard A. Thompson; three children, Frank, Doris, and Earl Thompson; one brother, Clifford Boyd; one sister, Katherine Shively. Surviving are one son, Ronnie Dexter Thompson, Ferrum; three sisters, Elvie Bowman, Danville; Zula Mae Whorley, Henry; Eva Underwood, Ferrum; one brother, Alvin Boyd, Danville; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at Endicott Assembly of God Church by Rev. Etholene Johnson and Rev. Abe Handy, Jr. Interment will follow in the family cemetery. Friends may call at Lynch Funeral Home after 2:00 p.m. Wednesday where the family will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
