Sadye White, a retired teacher who also has worked at the Harrison Museum of African American Culture in Roanoke, will be the special guest.
The program will be held in the Parish Hall of St. John's Episcopal Church on North Bridge Street starting at 10:45 a.m. It is open to the public.
The Moneta/Smith Mountain Lake branch of the Bedford Public Library will sponsor the same program at 1:45 p.m. Thursday in the Moneta Head Start building behind Moneta Elementary School on Virginia 122 South.
