DAVIS' DIATRIBE IS IRRESPONSIBLE

HAVING READ Paxton Davis' recent diatribe against the war, I have had enough of irresponsible journalism. To equate the American people with the Nazis in World War II and Saddam Hussein in the present war is unconscionable! I have friends in the Persian Gulf. How do you think they would feel if I was insensitive enough to send them a copy of your newspaper?

Since you undoubtedly agree with Davis' opinions, I doubt that you will ever dump him, so I am dumping your newspaper. THOMAS BARBER ROANOKE
