OBIT MURRAY, A.

Alfred M. "Buck" Murray, age 63, of Hollins went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, February 19, 1991. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service and was a veteran of World War II. He was an active member and trustee of Enon Baptist Church and a member of the Hollins Lion Club. Surviving are his wife, Nyna S. Murray; sons and daughters-in-law, Donald K. and Kelly S. Murray; Michael A. and Joy A. Murray, all of Roanoke; brother and sister-in-law, Robert S. and Geraldine P. Murray, Roanoke; five grandchildren, Christopher Holly; Kayla, Daniel, and Adam Murray; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larnie J. and Arlene Slayton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the Alfred Murray Memorial Fund at Enon Baptist Church, 7977 Williamson Rd., Roanoke, VA 24019. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Enon Baptist Church with the Rev. William R. Harding, III officiating. Burial will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
