Henry Woodrow Franklin, age 77, of Roanoke passed away Wednesday, February 20, 1991 in a local hospital. He was a retired employee of General Motors, Dayton, Ohio, and a member of the Christian Life Fellowship in Salem. Surviving are his wife, Nina Franklin; daughter, Joelene Carpenter, Miamisburg, Ohio; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Richard Cox, Roanoke; sons and daughters-in-law, Norman Franklin, Indiana; Rev. Kenneth and Juanita Kingrea, Salem; Rev. Richard and Renee Kingrea, Christiansburg; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ethel Peffley; Lida Dillon, both of Miamisburg, Ohio; also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at the Salem Pentecostal Holiness Church at 307 North Bruffey Street, Salem at 1:00 p.m. Friday with the Rev. Kenneth Kingrea and the Rev. Richard Kingrea officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakey's North Chapel.
