OBIT CAMPBELL, M.

Mrs. Minnie E. Campbell, age 89, died Wednesday, February 20, 1991 in Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon. She was a native of Ashe County, N.C., having moved to Virginia in 1916. She was a member of the Damascus First Baptist Church and was the widow of Charles Oren Campbell. Survivors include three sons, Paul B. Campbell, Ed Campbell, and Robert O. Campbell, all of Damascus, Va.; four daughters, Dorothy Thompson, Covington, Ky.; Beatrice Nickells, Marion, Va.; June Hutchinson, Shady Valley, Tenn.; Louise Hawthorne, Roanoke; 25 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the Damascus First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Lasley, officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be: Mack Hawthorne, Jim Hawthorne, Jerry Campbell, Danny Campbell, Jim Hutchinson, and Bryan Hutchinson. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Thursday at Johnson Funeral Home in Damascus, Va.
