Thomas & Thomas Advertising of Radford has been chosen agency of record to handle the advertising account of United Dominion Realty Co. of Richmond.

Cooper Industries Inc., owner of Gardner-Denver Mining and Construction of Roanoke, raised the company's quarterly dividend Wednesday from 27 cents to 29 cents a share. The 7 percent higher payment will be made April 1 to stockholders on March 4. Cooper reported a 13 percent increase in earnings per share last year.
