PEACE PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH TO DEDICATE NEW QUARTERS

The new Peace Presbyterian Church, housed in temporary quarters at 4365 Cloverdale Road (Old Virginia 604/U.S. 220) will be dedicated Sunday.

Clergy and laity active in developing the congregation for Presbytery of the Peaks of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) will officiate at the 4 p.m. service. Efforts to start a congregation for the eastern Roanoke suburbs have been going on for nearly a decade.

The Rev. Vernon Miller of Christiansburg, moderator of the presbytery, will preach. Others taking part will be Pat Zax, Edith Patton, the Rev. David Kirk, the Rev. Cheryl Duke and David Hensley.

The Lord's Supper will be celebrated and a reception will follow the service.

The Rev. G. Wilson Gunn Jr. is minister of the congregation, which is using a modular building erected several weeks ago. Eventually a more permanent structure will be build on the tract north of Bonsack.
