FLIGHT FROM NAZIS TO BE DETAILED IN RADFORD UNIVERSITY SPEECH THURSDAY

Austrian native Herta Freitag will discuss "A One Way Ticket to America," Thursday at 8 p.m. in Radford University's Heth Ballroom.

Freitag will speak about her flight from the Nazis to the United States. Her father was a journalist who was critical of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi movement. Her family fled to England, where she worked as a maid, governess, waitress and teacher.

Freitag is a retired mathematics professor from Hollins College.

The lecture, which is being sponsored by the university's Honors Program and Tri-M Math Club, is free.
