RECYCLING PROGRAM PLANNED THURSDAY

"Why Recycle," a teach-in on population and waste, will be held Thursday, 4:30-6 p.m., in Hancock Hall Auditorium on the Virginia Tech campus.

Speakers include William Knocke of the civil engineering department, David Conn of environmental design and planning and Franck Burch-Brown of the religion department.

They will look at recycling and costs, waste reduction and the required changes in lifestyle, and some of the ethical and religious issues involved.

The event is the second in a series presented by the Faith, Science and Technology Committee of Cooper House.
