OBIT HARPER, L.

Lawrence McKinley Harper, age 52, of Hardy, Va., passed away on Friday. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Darlene Harper, Hardy; six daughters, Myrna Harper, Kathy Patterson, both of Roanoke; Jennifer Maddox, Wirtz; Sherry Hairston, Rocky Mount; Lorrie Witcher, Glade Hill; Latishia Harper, Hardy; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jimmy and Raymond Harper, both of Wirtz; three sisters, Arlene Harper, Washington, D.C.; Army Jean Reynolds, Wirtz; Elnora Patterson, Roanoke; and other relatives. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Second Mt. Airy Baptist Church in Hardy with the Rev. Louis Simmons officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Hamlar-Curtis, Morticians.
