Elmer W. "Billy" Lafon, age 66, of 1219 Tompkins Ave., S. E., died Saturday in a local hospital. Surviving are one daughter, Sharon Lafon; one son, Robert Lafon; two sisters, Sylvia Cooper, Roanoke; Alice Kast, Narrows; a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday at Oakey's Vinton Chapel with the Rev. Raymond Proffit officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at Oakey's Vinton Chapel.
