Nannie Broce Keith, age 84, died Saturday morning, February 23, 1991, in the Montgomery Regional Hospital. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer W. Keith, and three children. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, a number of church groups and committees, a life-long resident of Christiansburg, lifetime Honorary Member of the Republican Party, and a member of the Presidential Task Force. Mrs. Keith was a fifty year member of the Order of the Eastern Star and a Past Matron of McDaniel Chapter No. 47 in Christiansburg. She was also a member of the Roanoke Coin Club. Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Phyllis and Emil Viola, Chesapeake; Shirley and George Shaver, Christiansburg; one son, Richard E. Keith, Blacksburg; two sisters-in-law, Ellen Keith, Senora Keith; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. The funeral will be 1:30 p.m. Monday from the Richardson-Horne Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev. Richard J. Geoghegan Jr. and the Rev. Sidney L. Willis with burial in Sunset Cemetery. An Eastern Star Memorial Service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Christiansburg Rescue Squad, Box 176, Christiansburg, Va., 24073. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 8:30 Sunday evening at the funeral home.
