AMY TAN NOVEL FOCUS OF LITERARY DISCUSSION

Kate Foreman of Virginia Highlands Community College in Abingdon will speak Thursday at Mountain Empire Community College on Amy Tan's novel, "The Joy Luck Club," at 12:15 p.m. with group discussion following.

Admission is free. The program is part of the college foundation's "Other Cultures, Other Voices" literary lecture and discussion series funded by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities and Public Policy.
