2 INDICTED ON ALLEGED KIDNAP, MURDER TRY

A federal grand jury indicted two men on charges of kidnapping a woman, stabbing her, leaving her for dead, then trying to get into the hospital where she was a patient to make another attempt on her life.

The U.S. District Court grand jury in Roanoke indicted Benjamin B. Buckhanan, 24, of Silver Spring, Md., and Marshall Jones, 24, of Washington on Friday on charges of attempted murder.

The case will be transferred to federal court in Charlottesville for trial.

Police said the men abducted Uganda George and droved her to a remote part of Nelson County on Jan. 16 after she argued with Jones, her estranged boyfriend. - Associated Press
