HELVEY-HUNTER

Rebecca Marie Hunter and Charles Woodrow Helvey were married February 23, 1991 in First Free Will Baptist Church by Pastor Jeff Crabtree. A reception was held in the Fellowship Hall of the Church. Amie Nicole Layman, niece of the bride, was maid of honor. The bridesmaids were Judy Beard, sister of the bride; Lori Helvey, sister-in-law of the groom; and Jenny Troutt, friend of the bride. Clayton H. Helvey, father of the groom, was best man. The ushers were Jim Helvey, brother of the groom; Frank Helvey, brother of the groom; and Phillip Graybeal, friend of the groom. Melissa Schanz was the guestbook attendant. The bride's gown was white satin trimmed with sequins and pearls and she carried a bouquet of cascading white roses. Rebecca, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry L. Hunter, of Roanoke, is a graduate of Northside High School and is employed by Home Shopping Network. Charles, son of Mr. and Mrs. Clayton H. Helvey, of Roanoke, is a graduate of Cave Spring High School and Virginia College and is employed by Universal Software Corp. After a wedding trip to Natural Bridge, the couple will reside in Lynchburg.
