RADFORD - Mary Lovern Akers died Saturday in a Radford hospital. Surviving are one brother, Harry R. Lovern, Blue Ridge; six sisters, Marie L. Kinser, Margaret L. Hollins, Mona Sue Wheeler and Mae L. Kirtner, all of Radford; Mildred L. Prichard and Mackey L. Vaughan, both of Roanoke; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Charles L. Tyler officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Monday at the DeVilbiss Funeral Home.
