RIPPLEMEAD - Alice McDaniel Lockard, age 85, died Saturday, February 23, 1991, at her home. Mrs. Lockard was a member of the Pearisburg Baptist Church and the Ripplemead Homemakers Extension Club. She was born in Roanoke County October 16, 1905, and was the daughter of the late John W. and Molly Drewry McDaniel. She is survived by five nieces, Fannie Mae Webster, Elliston; June Lockard, Salem; Arwinda Heslip, Elliston; Clara Smith, Hollins; Ruth Lineberry, Salem; four nephews, Elwood Lawrence, Elliston; Alvie Lockard, Roanoke; Woodrow Lockard, Roanoke; Lee Ray Lineberry, Salem; and a very dear friend, George Mann, Narrows. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Pearisburg Baptist Church with Dr. Robert Putt officiating. Interment will be in Sherwood Memorial Park, Salem. Friends may call at the Givens Funeral Home, Pearisburg, Monday afternoon after 3:00.
