BEDFORD - Felix Erwin Aldrich Jr., age 65, of 1113 Fairview Drive, Bedford, died Saturday, February 23, 1991, at his residence after a long illness. He was born in Westmoreland, New Hampshire October 30, 1925, a son of the late Felix Erwin Aldrich Sr. and Ivy Valeria Lilly Aldrich. He grew up in Westmoreland and Walpole, New Hampshire. He entered the United States Army in February, 1944, serving in New Jersey, Hawaii and Okinawa, and being discharged in May, 1946. On June 7, 1952, he married Kathleen Augusta Farnum of Penacook, New Hampshire. Their son, Andrew Alexander Aldrich, was born on July 11, 1954. For thirty-nine years, Felix worked for the Granite State Electric Company in Walpole, Salem, and Lebanon, New Hampshire, progressing from groundman to field engineer. He retired on October 30, 1986. He and his wife, Kathleen, moved to Bedford in April, 1988. He was a member of the American Legion and the Bedford Presbyterian Church. He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Farnum Aldrich; a son, Andrew Alexander Aldrich, Salem, N.H.; a brother, Richard N. Aldrich, Hendersonville, N.C.; five sisters, Norma Koson, Venice, Fla.; Loraine Libby, Richmond; Sylvia Thorne, Seattle, Wash.; Nancy Holt, Bremerton, Wash.; Joan Prentiss, Claremont, Calif.; two aunts, Anita Aldrich, Marjorie Hudson, both of Walpole, N.H.; thirteen nephews, eight nieces, and numerous grand-nephews and grand-nieces. A service of "Witness for the Resurrection" will be held at the Bedford Presbyterian Church following the Sunday morning service, March 3, 1991, at 12:15 p.m. with Dr. Richard N. Boyce officiating. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the First Baptist Church in New London, New Hampshire. Burial will be in Elkins Cemetery in New London, New Hampshire. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be given to the Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Virginia in Roanoke or the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 2, 1991, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the residence. Arrangements are being handled by the Carder-Tharp Funeral Home, Bedford.
