Jewel Armentrout Preas, age 69, of 1117 Newman Dr., Salem, died Saturday, February 23, 1991. She was a member of Villa Heights Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Tultex Corporation. Surviving are her husband, Holmes Wesley Preas; four daughters, Beverley S. Deschon (Mrs. Allen H.), Roanoke and Christiansburg; Bonnie P. Odell, Vinton; Brenda P. Gauldin (Mrs. C. Michael), Yorktown; Becky P. Meador (Mrs. F.E. "Skip"), Baltimore, Md.; one son, Robert L. Preas and wife, Karen M., Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. Ella A. Weber and husband, Charles, Covington; one brother, Joe R. Armentrout and wife, Jean Rae, Afton; five grandchildren, Thomas, Christopher, Melissa Ann Gauldin; Amy Lynn, Amber Jo Preas; Michael Sean Meador. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27 with Rev. Harold C. Lewis officiating. Burial will be in Sherwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association. Friends may call at Oakey's North Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday.
