SHULA'S WIFE DIES OF CANCER

Dorothy Shula, the wife of Miami Dolphins coach Don Shula and the mother of two NFL assistants, died at home Monday in Miami after a long battle against cancer. She was 57.

While Don Shula is best known for his 28-year career as an NFL coach, Dorothy Shula was admired for her devotion to her family. The couple were married for 32 years, and Shula frequently said he wouldn't have been a success without her.

The aggravated assault trial for Washington Redskins wide receiver Ricky Sanders was delayed, an attorney for the athlete said. Randy McDonald said the trial possibly could begin today.
