LIME KILN TOURING PLAY AT VIRGINIA HIGHLANDS

The Lexington-based Lime Kiln Theatre will perform its winter touring production, "Three Drops of Blood," at Virginia Highlands Community College at 7:30 p.m. Thursday. Admission is $2.

The musical play is basically an Appalachian version of "Beauty and the Beast" and is based on the folk tale, "White Bear Whittington." It had its premiere last year at the "Roots" festival in Atlanta.
