ELLEN GOODMAN

Due to a death in her family, there is no Ellen Goodman column today. She issued this statement:

"On Monday, Feb. 18, my husband's son, my stepson, Gregory David Levey, taped his driver's license to a peace sign, and ended his life by his own hand. A troubled soul in a troubled time interacted with the most terrible chemistry.

"May he rest in peace, in all of its meanings."
