PENHOOK - John Duggan Jacobs, age 62, of No. 22 Island Green Dr., The Water's Edge, died Monday, February 25, 1991, in Roanoke Memorial Hospital. Born June 10, 1928 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of John M. Jacobs and Edda Duggan Jacobs. He was retired operation officer with the C.I.A. and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict. He was actively involved with the Boy Scouts of America in the Washington and Roanoke areas. Survivors include his wife, Jo Ann Cunningham Jacobs, of the residence; one son, John Jay Jacobs, Penhook; one brother, Charles Duggan Jacobs, Largo, Fla. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials to be made to their local Boy Scouts of America troops. Colbert-Moran Funeral Home, Gretna is in charge of arrangements.
