BUENA VISTA, VA. - Harold McCormick Heslep, 91, died February 25, 1991, in a Clifton Forge hospital. He was born in Rockbridge County on September 28, 1899, the son of the late James T. and Amanda Frances Heslep. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Josephine H. Lynn and a son-in-law, Jack C. Lynn. He was the last survivor of seven brothers and one sister. Surviving are his wife of 67 years, Nellie Coffey Heslep; two daughters, Mrs. George (Betty) H. Watts, Glasgow; Mrs. Robert (Marjorie) Dyer, Buena Vista; eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. A. J. Hawes and Dr. Chip Pendleton at the Lomax Funeral Chapel. The burial will follow at the Green Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at home.
