CHILHOWIE - Jackie Widener Lyles, age 37, of Chilhowie, Va., died Monday, February 25, at the University of Virginia Medical Center. She was a member of the Chilhowie Church of God. She is survived by her husband, Kenny Lyles; two daughters, Christie Widener and Shawna Lyles, both of Chilhowie; her mother, Sarah Johnson Widener, Chilhowie; one sister, Joyce G. Widener, Marietta, Ga.; one brother, Donald W. Widener, Chilhowie; and her paternal grandmother, Ethel Widener of Chilhowie. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 1, at the Chilhowie Church of God with the Rev. E. B. Ford, the Rev. Jonathan King and the Rev. Frank Branson officiating. Burial will follow in the Middlefork Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 Thursday evening at the funeral home. The body will be placed in the church one hour prior to the service. Newberry Funeral Home in Chilhowie is in charge of the arrangements.
