LADY HOKIES CHASE TEAM RECORD TODAY

Virginia Tech's women's basketball team will try for a school-record ninth Metro Conference victory against Louisville at 4:30 today in Cassell Coliseum.

The Hokies (12-13 overall, 8-5 in the Metro) rebounded from a school-worst 0-6 start and have a chance to finish in third place in the Metro heading into the league tournament next week in Louisville.

The Cardinals are 21-8 overall and 8-5 in the conference. Today's winner will be seeded third in the tournament.

The game will feature a halftime contest in which fans can win, among other prizes, two round-trip plane tickets to Myrtle Beach, S.C. - Staff report
