Troutville - James Warren Ashwell, age 44, of Troutville, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 1991. He was employed with Norfolk Southern Corp., a member of U.T.U. Local #559, and a veteran of the Vietnam War. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca Ashwell; daughters and son-in-law, Robin Ashwell, and Rebecca and Harold Green, of Roanoke; stepdaughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Ken Speed, Brandie Nicely, of Troutville; his brother, Wayne Ashwell of Vinton. Services will be conducted from Oakey's North Chapel at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, with Rev. Mike Osborne and Rev. E. Ray Frazier officiating. Interment will follow in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 p.nm. Wednesday at Oakey's North Chapel.
