STATE POLICE, MONTGOMERY DEPUTIES ARREST MAN ON CRACK DISTRIBUTION CHARGE

A former New York cab driver now living in Montgomery County was arrested Tuesday on a crack-cocaine distribution charge.

Herbert Hill, 60, was charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute after state police and Montgomery County deputies with a search warrant raided his apartment just outside Blacksburg.

Cecil Handy, special agent in charge of investigations for the state police in Salem, said officers found a small quanity of crack and several hundred dollars in the apartment.

The raid took place shortly before 1:30 p.m.

Hill is also wanted in New Jersey on a cocaine possession charge, Handy said.
