YOUTH SOCCER PLAYOFF WINNERS ANNOUNCED

The Roanoke Parks and Recreation Department has announced winners in its 1991 youth indoor soccer playoffs.

The Exterminators were the Little League winners after defeating the Kickers 5-4 in the finals and the Phantom Cruzers 9-0 in the semifinals. The Kickers reached the finals after beating the Flash 14-2 in the semifinals.

In the Biddy League, the Strikers beat the Blast 3-1 for the title. In semifinal play, the Strikers had defeated the Jets 8-3 and the Blast had defeated the Rockets 6-0.

The Eagles defeated the Blast 4-2 for the Pee Wee League championship after beating the Cougars 6-2 in the semifinals. The Blast had beaten the Sting 9-1 in the semifinals.

The Wham-Os won the title in the Girls' League, beating Quicksilver 3-2. Quicksilver had beaten Footloose 4-3 in semifinal play.
