5K RACE TO RAISE FUNDS FOR CATHOLIC SCHOOLS

A 5K race to raise funds for Roanoke Catholic Schools will be held March 23 in downtown Roanoke.

The Shamrock Hills Road Race will start at 8 a.m., and will be an out and back course from St. Andrews Catholic Church through downtown Roanoke.

It is sponsored by Roanoke Catholic Schools in cooperation with the City of Roanoke and Star City Striders.

Entrance fee is $10 and a T-shirt will be given to each participant. Brochures are available at Roanoke sporting goods stores and information can obtained from Carol Chappell at 982-3532.

The top three men and women receive overall awards and there are awards for the top three finishers in each age category.
