OBIT-JENKINS, R.

Ruby P. (Granny) Jenkins, age 92, of 1204 Stewart Ave. SE, died at her home Thursday. She was a member of Belmont Baptist Church and was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Jenkins and a son, Eugene Jenkins. Survivors include three sons, Ralph Jenkins, Atlanta, Ga.; Robert Jenkins, Vinton; Richard Jenkins, Troutville; four daughters, Allene Doss, Roanoke; Mary Lou Smith, Fincastle; Alice Anderson, Roanoke; Iris Powell, Lawrenceville, Ga.; also three sisters, Betty Sprinkle, Roanoke; Edith Seidel, Frederick, Md.; Naomi Proffitt, Newark, Del.; 25 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted from Oakey's Vinton Chapel, 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 1991 with Dr. Thomas S. Cribb, officiating. Interment will be in Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
