POSTER TO BE SENT TO MIDEAST TROOPS

Nearly 150 well-wishers have inscribed on a poster set up in the Comfort Inn lobby here, flanked by tiny flags and decorated by photographs of soldiers serving in the Persian Gulf.

Those brief messages had been collected in a week's time from people passing through the lobby. The signers came from Virginia, New Hampshire, North Carolina, Florida, Texas, New York, Wisconsin, New Jersey and Tennessee, among other places.

The poster and its messages will be sent to Saudi Arabia soon to some of the Pulaski County troops in the Middle East, said inn manager John Stone. The Roanoke Times & World-News cor-rects errors in its news columns that come to its attention.
