Albright left Pulaski Wednesday with his wife, Barbara, to drive to Fort Eustis where he is scheduled to report today at 8 a.m.
He is one of seven retired Army career men who will be returning to the service to help in the aftermath of the liberation of Kuwait.
"He's the oldest so far," a spokeswoman at the Fort Eustis Public Affairs office said Thursday.
She said Albright will be working in the Army's casualty office.
Albright, who retired from the Army in 1972 after three decades of reserve and regular Army service, served in combat in World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
