TWO ON MOST-WANTED LIST

Two men from Roanoke - a convicted killer and man being sought on capital murder charges - are listed on the Virginia State Police's most recent list of its 12 most-wanted fugitives.

The list was released this week by state police.

Police say the list includes people "who have a high probability of engaging in future acts of violence or felons who are wanted for prior violent acts." The list includes:

Thomas Manual Paige Jr., 24, charged two years ago in the slayings of two women after an all-night cocaine party at a Staunton Avenue home in Northwest Roanoke.

Paige fled the area shortly after the killings and has been a fugitive since. He is described as a black male, 6 foot 5, 200 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He has several tattoos, which include "T.J." on his left biceps, "Paige" on his left forearm and a cross on his left hand.

Miller Hale Burton, 78, who became a fugitive after he was released from prison pending an appeal of a 1979 murder conviction.

Burton is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, 175 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. He is missing two fingers on his right hand, has a scar on his upper and lower left arm, and a tattoo on his chest.

Anyone with information can contact state police at 804-674-2000.
