CONCERT WEDNESDAY AT RADFORD UNIVERSITY

Radford University music professors Caryl Conger, Clarity James, Kathryn Obenshain, Betty Turner and Al Wojtera will present an "All-American Concert" Wednesday in Preston Auditorium at 8 p.m.

The musicians will perform compositions from the past 70 years, and, according to program director Bruce Mahin, "the works express musical ideas in a way which is unique and relevant to the contemporary composer's experience." Mahin's work, "Impressions: Fear" is on the program.

Other selections include Aaron Copeland's "Night Thoughts" and "As It Fell Upon a Day," an excerpt from Gian Carlo Menotti's opera "The Medium."

Admission is free for Radford University students. Admission is $3 for adults, $1 for children.
