ENTRY DEADLINE SET FOR TRAINING AWARDS

The deadline is April 1 at 5 p.m.

The awards are sponsored by the New River Community College Center for Training and Development.

One will be given in manufacturing-retail, which includes groceries, restaurants, hotels, motels and department stores, and another will be in the service category, which includes health care, government and education.

The training program must have taken place from January to December 1990.

Only one entry per organization will be accepted; the entrant chooses the category.

Entries will be coded and an impartial team of judges with training backgrounds will select winners.

The judges will weigh the training effort relative to the number of employees in the organization.

Awards will be given at the center's annual banquet in May.
