MOTEL GIVES TO FUND FOR TROOPS, FAMILIES

The Comfort Inn in Blacksburg has joined more than 2,000 hotels in the national Choice Yellow Ribbon Fund to provide help to United States troops and families who have been affected by Operation Desert Storm.

Through the fund, Choice Hotels International, which includes such such as the Comfort, Quality and Econo Lodge inns, will donate $5 to the American Red Cross for every central reservation made through its toll-free number: (800) 4-CHOICE.

The Blacksburg Comfort Inn is owned by Herbert R. Alcorn of Blacksburg and is operated by Hometown Lodging Inc.
