ART PENDLETON has been elected vice president of operations of Roanoke Gas Co. and its affiliates, Bluefield Gas Co. and Highland Propane Co. Pendleton joined Roanoke Gas in 1978 as a construction engineer. He was promoted to service superintendent in 1979, to director of engineering services in 1985, and to assistant vice president and chief engineer in 1987. Pendleton is a member of the board of directors of Southeastern Gas Association and chairs its Education Steering Committee.

\ ROBERT R. FRANTZ has joined Signet Bank in Roanoke as commercial loan officer.
\ BRETT L. PHARR, first vice president and area executive officer in charge of the Commercial Banking Group for the Roanoke Area for Sovran Bank, N.A., has relocated to the Roanoke office from Abingdon.
