ART PENDLETON has been elected vice president of operations of Roanoke Gas Co. and its affiliates, Bluefield Gas Co. and Highland Propane Co. Pendleton joined Roanoke Gas in 1978 as a construction engineer. He was promoted to service superintendent in 1979, to director of engineering services in 1985, and to assistant vice president and chief engineer in 1987. Pendleton is a member of the board of directors of Southeastern Gas Association and chairs its Education Steering Committee.

\ THEODORE W. WOODS, who manages manages automated information services support for Dominion Bankshares Corp., has been promoted to vice president. ROSE MARY STACY, system supervisor, has been elected trust officer at Dominion Trust Co., the trust affiliate of Dominion Bankshares Corp. LINDA L. LAYMAN has been elected commercial banking officer at Dominion Bank and F. LEIGH UNDERWOOD to branch officer.
\ ROBERT R. FRANTZ has joined Signet Bank in Roanoke as commercial loan officer.
\ BRETT L. PHARR, first vice president and area executive officer in charge of the Commercial Banking Group for the Roanoke Area for Sovran Bank, N.A., has relocated to the Roanoke office from Abingdon.
INSURANCE
\ WARNER N. DALHOUSE has been elected as a director of Shenandoah Life Insurance Co. Re-elected to the board were WILLIAM R. BATTLE, GORDON K. DAVIES, ELIZABETH G. HELM and NICHOLAS F. TAUBMAN. The board also approved the following promotions: PEARL H. GEARHART to vice president of administration; THOMAS W. CECERE to second vice president of corporate services; DAN A. CHRISMAN to second vice president and chief underwriter; JACK W. COCHRAN to second vice president of customer services; and GENE F. SHERWOOD to second vice president of human resources. MUSSELWHITE & ASSOCIATES of Roanoke has been named Shenandoah Life's Master Agency for 1990 for leading the company in overall agency performance.
