Edgar Dewey Prillaman, age 88, of Roanoke, died Saturday. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and a former member of the Pythians and Elks Club. Surviving are his wife, Alma Powell Prillman; a son and daughter-in-law, Alton B. and Nancy K. Prillaman; three grandchildren, Grayson Bishop Prillaman, Elizabeth Blackburn Prillaman, John Kemper Prillaman, all of Roanoke; four sisters, Vera P. Thompson of Salem; Maude P. Vail of Houston, Texas; and Mary P. Carper and Susan P. Pillis, both of Roanoke; one brother, George G. Prillaman, also of Roanoke. Services will be from Oakey's Roanoke Chapel at 12:00 noon Monday. Dr. C. Steven Teague and Dr. Harry Y. Gamble will officiate. Friends may call at Oakey's Roanoke Chapel where the family will receive friends from noon to 2:00 p.m. and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.
