The civic center will break apart tournament books to sell single-session seats. There are two quarterfinal sessions Thursday, at 1 and 7 p.m., a semifinal session Friday night and the championship game Saturday.
Tickets for each of the quarterfinal and semifinal sessions are priced at $24 (for two games). Championship game tickets are $15.
Until now, all Metro '91 ticket sales have involved seven-game tournament books, which will remain on sale for $87 at the civic center and Virginia Tech's Cassell Coliseum ticket office. All single-session sales will be made at the civic center.
Fewer than 5,800 tournament tickets have been sold. The civic center will seat 9,834 for the 16th annual Metro tourney.
There will be no local telecasts the first two days of the tournament. The championship game will be aired at 7 p.m. Saturday on WSLS (Channel 10).
