ROANOKE RUGBY CLUB OPENS WITH VICTORY

The Roanoke Rugby Club "A" side opened its season Saturday afternoon with a 24-18 victory over the University of Virginia Rugby Club at Lincoln Terrace. Blane Segal scored 14 points for Roanoke, which rallied after trailing 18-6. The "B" side also opened with a win, downing UVa 16-4. - Staff report
